We are two families brought together with a passion for farming and food. The business started with Alice sourcing local organic food for her family and friends. This quickly grew into a busy enterprise, and Alice realized she was inundated with people looking for highest quality grass fed and finished meats, and pastured animals.
Based in Chilliwack Bert and Alice Jongerden, with their family, manage the inventory and farm animals. Alice also finds and works with like minded local farmers to bring in their quality livestock, that are grass fed and finished if red meat, and pastured if poultry or swine. Every day Bert packs and drives the truck into the city to help share the products with city folk. Theirs is a long day, starting early and finishing late, in the farming tradition; Dutch style!
Living in the city Allen and Jackie Ingram (and their son) organize the products offered on a daily basis and then staff the markets where our products are sold. Allen has spent over 25 years in the food business, both behind the scenes in the kitchen and front-of-house in management and director positions. Also a certified Sommelier and cheese maker, Allen brings his cooking skills and passion for food to the company, driving product development. His current focus is growing the company's growing organic gourmet sausage line, and building this into new wholesale accounts. Jackie is an extremely capable former business executive who has taken on the challenge of pairing Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland suppliers who share our vision for locally and sustainably raised, affordable priced organic foods.
Together our two families keep this business growing through passion for what we do, and a belief that organic, sustainable raised food should be made affordable for those that seek it, in the city and beyond. We hope that you feel the same way we do and choose to shop with us today!
